Crazy Corgi Lady

Share it Please
Sunday was one for the record books. One of those days, that are so amazing in their simplicity that you realize what you've been missing.

Originally L and I had grand plans to have a giant group of people and get goofy and crazy during dollar days over at the local track (Golden Gate Fields). I even invited my Mini Me, in hopes to share her a new experience I knew she would enjoy.

However when the day finally rolled around, what happened was completely different but far more perfect. Two friends and a corgi spent an entire day rambling around the east bay doing nothing but enjoying the day and talking about horses.

We made fun imaginative plans for the two pretty grays in the claiming race that we wanted. Won a little money in my case, lost a little in L's. Went to tack stores yet didn't buy anything. And ended up staying up until 11 pm reminiscing of our junior years and talking of our futures.

The one concrete thing we did learn: we are destined and content to become to crazy corgi ladies, instead of having kids.

After my wonderful lazy weekend is over I have recognized that the thing I needed most was happiness. Don't get me wrong, I am super happy with my life. However with my insane tunnel vision leading up to the kick off; it's good to recognize that in the end of it all I do it for the ponies. Well and corgis.

A corgi with a corgi!!

  3. I usually don't like little dogs, but Corgis are awesome. :) This post made me think of a quote, "Enjoy the little things, for someday you will look back and realize that they were the big things."
